The Inaugural meeting of Shareholders was held on November 16th at Cissbury Barns, Nepcote, Findon. The event was very well attended and provided an opportunity to meet the Shop Manager and the voluntary Management Team who have been working hard behind the scenes to set up the new business.  Our Treasurer and Management Accountant gave a presentation on our  financial position, and described how the community investment, and some additional grant funding, is being used to give the business a solid foundation. Shareholders were able to put questions to the Team, ranging from the involvement of young people from the community; volunteer support and training; disabled access to the shop site; and the range of post office and banking services on offer; to the availability of our share offer to new investors. If you missed the opportunity to invest and would like to know more, please contact Jan Vandevelde, Company Secretary: findoncommunityshop@gmail.com Shareholders were also able to view a photo-history of our fantastic project to save our shop and to be reminded of how much hard work went into fitting out, painting and decorating, stocking and opening for business. Congratulations to everyone who gave their time. Here are a few pictures from the event. Click on photo to enlarge;
